Casa Hispana Scholarship

The Casa Hispana Scholarship is a partial scholarship which contributes $2,000 to the cost of one academic year’s residence in La Casa Hispana (with $1,000 being allocated per semester). The award is merit and financial needs based and is granted to one current undergraduate Spanish major or minor at the College of Charleston. La Casa Hispana, located on the College of Charleston’s campus at 8 Bull Street, is a residential living and learning community, the primary purpose of which is to promote proficiency in the Spanish language and a greater understanding and appreciation of the many cultures that make up the Hispanic world. For details, please visit Casa Hispana Scholarship.

Hispanic Studies Study Abroad Scholarship

The primary purpose of this partial, financial need and merit-based scholarship is to facilitate current Hispanic Studies’ undergraduate students’ participation in the departmentally-sponsored programs in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile.  For Spring 2022, the award has been designated for participants in the Buenos Aires, Argentina Study Abroad Program.  For details, please visit Hispanic Studies Study Abroad Scholarship.

Hispanic Studies Trujillo Scholarship

The Hispanic Studies Trujillo Scholarship is granted to one undergraduate student at the College of Charleston for study abroad in the Spring semester program in Trujillo, Spain. The scholarship covers the entire program fee, and is a competitive, financial-needs-based award that gives special consideration to declared Spanish majors, the applicant's academic record, and extracurricular activities related to Hispanic Studies.  For details, please visit Hispanic Studies Trujillo Scholarship.

Sigma Delta Pi National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society

Undergraduate members of the College of Charleston's chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, may apply for summer study abroad scholarships in Ecuador, Mexico and Spain.  For details, please visit the national website at www.sigmadeltapi.org.
